Rachel and Jimmy
I don't even really know where to begin with these two... Rachel and I became friends back in 2015 when we roomed together in college. She taught me about the beauty of simplicity and how to summon the magic within myself. Her joy for life and love of others almost doesn't make any sense, it's so powerful and infectious. She's encouraging and uplifting, someone you want to be more like. On my really bad days, I would get a knock on my door, and there Rachel would be with a cupcake or some other sweet in her hands, ready to comfort me with words of encouragement, and she'd revitalize my soul in less than five minutes.
I say all that to say...
She's a very special person to me. So when she texted me a picture of Jimmy down on one knee and asked if I would take their engagement pictures, I'm pretty sure I screamed. Of course I will omgomgomgomgomgomgomg.
That's another special story; Rachel and Jimmy.
I won't go into too much detail, but basically, they started off as best friends. All the places we went today for this engagement shoot were places that they had found and explored with each other in undergrad. It's just what they did, that was their thing. So after both of them graduated and Rachel told me that she and Jimmy had started dating, I was like, oh yeah ok that makes sense it's about dang time. And that's the dream isn't it?? To fall in love with your best friend! They have been there for each other's joys and sorrows, continuing to explore together, and next year, they are going to promise to keep on keepin' on just like that.
